Dear Forever

Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Dear Forever collects when you use dearforever.wedding, your invitation and your wedding page, and how it is used. Last updated October 6, 2026.

What I collect

  • From couples: the wedding details you give me (names, dates, venues, schedule and other text you choose to add) and the guest names you add for personal links.
  • From guests who reply: the name, optional email, attendance, chosen events, party size, children and any message they send.
  • From the contact form: your name, email, optional wedding date and your message.
  • Technical information: like any website, the server briefly processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages securely and prevent abuse.

Orders and payments happen on Etsy. I never see your card details. Etsy’s own privacy policy covers your purchase.

How it is used

Only to create and show your invitation, collect and show replies to the couple, reply to messages, and keep the service secure. I do not sell or share personal information, and I do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Replies are visible only to the couple (on their code-protected page) and to me. Invitations are hidden from search engines. Guests only see what the couple chose to put on the invitation.

Cookies

I use no advertising or tracking cookies. A single essential cookie keeps couples signed in to their wedding page on their own device.

Where it is stored

On a secured server in the United States, protected by encryption in transit, a firewall and daily backups. The website is delivered through Cloudflare for speed and security.

How long it is kept

Invitations stay live until 12 months after the wedding. Guest names and replies are deleted within 30 days after an invitation ends, and contact messages within 12 months. Couples can ask me to delete everything sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information. Couples can do this through their wedding page or Etsy messages; guests can ask the couple or contact me through the contact page. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
